Hey DA friends! I know I know, I'm WAAAAAY late but its still okay to wish everyone having an awesome 2009, right?!
First off, I couldn't make a journal before because I was in...
*Drum roll* s'il vous plait.
ITALIA!
Oh my god, Italy was so much fun!
The trip started on December 27 2008 (last year )
and was trapped for over TEN hours at an island airport in Toronto with NO food or entertainment...well actually a group of my friends and I were able to get a computer and browse on the internet so we were able to rant online to people HOORAH!
After 10 hours of groggy terminal-ness, we were able to get our plane to Newark, New Jersey. Only when we got there, our next flight to London had left SIX hours ago. Nice.

So we booked a motel RIGHT BESIDE the airport "fun", and had 2 a.m. pizza and watched the planes fly away noisily outside our window.
Next morning SIX a.m. "YAY" we get to JFK airport and found out our plane has been switched to IRELAND. No one minded, we just wanted to get out of North America

SO Ireland was AMAZING. Cold and frosty and the people stare you down and you have to move away or get pushed aside. Over all it was amazing. If only half our group weren't motion sick from the 8 hour flight. Okay so it was only me

Then at 10 p.m. we got to ITALY, well Venice, we didn't get to stay though (well we had our pizza (THE SMALL PIZZA WAS HUGE, WHO CALLS THAT A SMALL? okay if you're wondering how big the small is make a circle with your arms and touch the tips of you middle fingers together, YAH that big!)) and the next day we head to Florence! Spent 2 amazing days there roaming for more art and cultural themes and...okay I'm joking we mostly looked for food, clothing and GELATO!

After our second day in Florence we headed to ROMA! It was amazing, I didn't expect to like the Vatican Museum but I did! Um...there's also a statue there that looks eerily like Edward Cullen...don't ask.

OH! I also got stalked at the Vatican! I know weird, no...it wasn't the pope, or the security...

It was sad when we had to leave for London to Newark to Toronto, I will seriously miss the beauty that was Italy and the friends that I have made there and still keep in touch with.

So once again HAPPY NEW YEAR!

(p.s. I spent New Years in Italy at a Club! It was so fun! Yet pushy if you know what I mean!)
